our kitchen designer - marion john
AKD was set up by Marion John (known as Majjie on-line) who has been a kitchen designer for twelve years. Her experience ranges from simple, modular, flat pack kitchens right up to hand made, solid timber bespoke kitchens - with no chipboard in sight! During that period she has worked for ten different kitchen companies in and around Derby, Leicester, Nottingham, Birmingham and Sheffield, but freely admits that she stayed with some of them only a matter of months. She feels that, even companies supplying the least expensive laminate kitchens, should put customer service at the top of their priorities.Marion likes to attend client appointments herself and be fully involved in the kitchen design process. She's the one who produces the hand drawn sketches which illustrate parts of this web site - although progress dictates that computer drawings will sometimes be used. They're certainly more flexible when changes need to be made to the design.
