An independent source of kitchen design advice & ideas
Alpha Interior Design is run by Dave Hewitt. You'll sometimes find him in the showroom but he often likes to go out and visit his fitting teams, installing kitchens in customer's houses. It keeps him fit, he says, and he also gets a lot of satisfaction from seeing the finished result.

DeVille Interiors was established in 2003, by Steven DeVille who has over 15 years experience in the field of cabinet making and kitchen installation. He makes kitchen, bedroom and bathroom furniture for clients throughout the region ... and further afield ... and then fits it himself. He reckons that gives the best results.

Jonathan Banks is a young entrepreneur. He and his brother Haydn, a builder, were property developing before the recession hit and that's how Jon became involved with kitchens. He set up Wolds Kitchens four years ago, to supply low cost kitchens to customers locally, and when the bottom fell out of the property market, it became a full time business.
One way to be sure of getting a beautiful fitted kitchen ... is to buy it from a good kitchen fitter. Classique Interiors, in Beeston, is run by three brothers, Andrew, Mark and Paul Short. Andrew and Mark are both fitters and Paul runs the showroom and manages each project.
Now I know this part of my website is all about kitchen retailers ... but if you're ever driving through Draycott ... even if you're not after a kitchen, pop in and visit the Incite Interiors showroom. It's lovely. And, if you are after a kitchen, well then so much the better. They can certainly make you one.
ASL is the kitchen showroom in Northampton, set up by Cliff Jobson, founder of internet supplier Achieve Stylish Living (see entry in national suppliers). The showroom was only opened in July 2010 ... but it's well worth a visit ... and, of course, Cliff has been supplying kitchens, via the internet, for ten years. From the showroom, he specialises in supplying high quality, good value and, particularly, modern kitchens.
DFM's showroom has got to be the biggest in Nottingham, I think. (Not that I've visited them all!) And, not only is it big, but it's really interesting too. There are loads of displays to look at - showing lots of different styles of kitchen - lots of different types of worktops - and lots of different appliances too.
For those of you who know Nottingham, Needs Furniture will be a familiar name. They used to have a showroom down in Hockley. They were well known for good quality, handmade traditional pine furniture ... although they did modern styles too. What you might not know is that, although the showroom has gone, Needs Furniture is still going strong.

There are quite a few kitchen showrooms called Kitchen World (it's a great name for a showroom after all) but make no mistake about this one ... it's in Mansfield; Mansfield Woodhouse to be precise, off the Old Mill Lane ... and it doesn't have any connection with the others. It's run by three young men who have a great business philosophy and it's well worth a visit, even if you're not local to Mansfield.
Have you ever wondered whether you can buy a solid oak kitchen? Not just the doors, but the whole thing, including a solid oak carcasse. Well, you can. Most cabinetmakers, of course, could make you one - but the price would be prohibitive. The Anglo Kitchen Company is uniquely placed to provide you with a solid oak kitchen at a reasonable price ... and that's their speciality. All their kitchens, even the ones with a painted finish, have solid oak carcasses.
