What is RSS All About?

RSS stands for "Really Simple Syndication" and it's a method for keeping up-to-date with constantly changing information on web sites. The updates are called feeds.

In order to receive updates you need an RSS reader which will collect the feeds and create a constantly updated list of links. Most web browsers are also RSS enabled, these days, and you can recognise when a feed is available because the RSS icon will light up orange:

You can also use Google Reader or Bloglines to keep up to date with your favourite web sites.
