U-Form Mystery Kitchens

This "Tavola" ginger coloured kitchen, from U-Form, caught my attention recently. It was being promoted in the trade press.

It's an unusual colour which I think looks good with the Black Brown stained oak "Ferrara" accessories. I love the 100mm thick end panels and the integral handles are very up-to-the-minute ... and are a lot more practical than the full width u-shaped, integral handles that I'm amazed to see coming back into fashion. (The latter catch a whole load of crumbs and drips - and you'll be forever cleaning them!).

This ginger is one of six paint colours to choose from, apparently, and there are also six different stain finishes. There are curved doors ... and all U-Form kitchens are made with FSC accredited materials.

Sounds great ... so, off I went to U-Form's website ... to get more details. The front page tells me that there's going to be a new website in 2009 (there's only a couple of months left chaps ... not that I can really talk, on that front!) and invites me to visit their Kitchen Stori website. No mention of the new range at all ... and the latest "news" on the Kitchen Stori website is from May 2008.

Somehow the UK kitchen industry (or the Irish one in U-Form's case) never quite seem to get to grips with the internet and what it can do for them. If you're desperate to chase up one of these kitchens then the Kitchen Stori website does have a list of retailers ... they might be worth trying.
