Lakeland ... or as a friend of mine still insists on calling them ... Lakeland Plastics (they changed the name in 1997) ... are the  original and arguably the best suppliers of Creative Kitchenware. You can't beat their no quibble, money back guarantee ... for anyone who's not happy with one of their products.

The business was founded in the 1960s by Alan Rayner ... and is still run by his three sons ... based, of course, in the Lake District. They now have huge premises at Windermere (with a flagship store) and Kendal (where they despatch up to 10,000 orders a day!).

It all started from selling plastic bags to farmers ... when frozen food was a new and exciting idea. From there the business moved to selling plastic bags to domestic customers, for use in the freezer ... and they diversified further from there. People who freeze food, also cook it.

Many of their products are now exclusive to Lakeland ... and they're always coming up with new must-have items. I'm tempted by something every time I look at their site.
