Yellows and oranges are good colours to use for accents in a kitchen because they're bright and sunny looking. They're particularly good if you've got a white and blue colour scheme for the units, walls and worktops ... the golden colours will warm up the overall look of the room.

These pictures would also look good with real wood because they then complement the warm tones.
