Much as I'd like to, I daren't add a bread maker to my wanted list ... my bread consumption would rocket ... and I struggle enough with my uhmm - healthy appetite - as it is. Some friends of mine have one, though, and I really look forward to visiting them for a meal and some delicious fresh baked bread. It's so much nicer than shop bought loaves.

This model is Kenwood's latest machine and it has a new fan assisted baking system ... which seems to have gone down well with purchasers. It has a selection of pre-programmed recipes, including premium white, gluten-free and pizza dough, cake and jam functions ... and it can make three sizes of loaf. The ECO programme takes only 85 minutes - and there's a 15 hour delay timer, so that you can organise your bread to be ready when you need it.
