Feature walls have been in fashion for a while ... and Dulux have just made it very easy to choose a patterned one and a co-ordinated paint colour scheme. Dulux Feature Wallpaper comes with suggested paint colours ... and you can try out the different paint colours in their on-line pictures. I think it's a great idea ... and I tried one out on some kitchen CAD pictures too ...
The picture above shows Zoe Raspberry wallpaper with Waterlily Blush paint - and the one below shows the same wallpaper with Willow Tree paint:

There are three different Zoe wallpapers; Raspberry, Silver and Kiwi - good modern looks with a slightly retro feel:

There are also more traditional floral patterns and leafy Linden ... which might be suitable for a kitchen. Floral patterns are difficult to put on a CAD programme - I'd need a picture of a complete repeating pattern - so I haven't tried with those - much as I like them.
The wallpaper I've chosen to try in my CAD pictures is stripey Henley (Redcurrant, Melon or Duck Egg):

I love the choice of colours. Henley is another modern look wallpaper with a small metallic pinstripe - you can just see it in the pictures above. I've tried it in a modern living kitchen which is quite long and tends to feel narrow. Having a feature wall, at the dining end, makes that wall seem closer and helps the room to feel less long and more cosy.
Here's the kitchen with a plain painted, Duck Egg blue, feature wall:

Here it is with Dulux Henley Duck Egg Feature Wallpaper - on the end wall - and with Sea Urchin 5 paint on the other walls:

Next is Henley Redcurrant wallpaper with Almond White paint:

And the last picture is Henley Melon wallpaper with Grey Steel 2 paint:

The Redcurrant one is my favourite ... although, I think I'd like the Duck Egg wallpaper - with a more neutral paint on the walls ... the Dulux website suggests two neutral options to co-ordinate with Henley Duck Egg: Just Walnut and Soft Truffle. Here's their room picture with the Just Walnut paint:

So - you can now judge how good my CAD pictures are! The colours are never going to be exact, of course, especially for the paint, which is just guesswork on my part ... and the colours on your screen will vary according to what computer equipment you're using. It's worth having a play on the Dulux website, though - if you're considering a feature wall.
In order to finally choose a scheme for your room, you'd need to get samples, of the wallpaper and paint colours that you selected on screen - and try them out in your room. Dulux make this very easy and will send you out samples for a few pounds.
Finally, here's a closer view of my kitchen wall, with a more neutral colour scheme based on Henley Duck Egg wallpaper:
