These three pictures were also taken at Derwent Water in Cumbria ... on that frosty but bright and sunny day.

We are selling them as a group of three and show them hanging like that in one of the illustrations ... they look great together ... but they are in fact a pair and a separate picture. Or you could just hang them individually.

The picture Trees 2 shows the trees visible in the background of Trees 1, whereas Trees 3 is further round the lake where the sun hadn't yet reached far enough to melt the frost.

It's only in the winter that we really appreciate the texture of tree bark and notice the play of light on the tree trunks and the patterns of the mosses and lichens.

All of these pictures have the photo continuing around the sides of the canvas ... not as a mirror image this time (except for the top of Trees 2 because that kept the colourful leaves on the front surface) ... but as a continuation of the picture.
