DeVille Interiors website

DeVille Interiors was established in 2003, by Steven DeVille who has over 15 years experience in the field of cabinet making and kitchen installation. He makes kitchen, bedroom and bathroom furniture for clients throughout the region ... and further afield ... and then fits it himself. He reckons that gives the best results.

With a fully fitted workshop and extensive experience, Steve is able to offer a very professional manufacture and installation service and he does like to both supply and fit his kitchens.  Steve's bespoke furniture will fit any size of room and is individually designed for each customer, giving a very cost effective way to achieve your dream kitchen. The product range also includes bedrooms, bathrooms and specially commissioned pieces of furniture, which are available to order.

It could be said that the workshop is in the middle of nowhere but actually it's situated on a farm in lovely countryside near Tutbury, just North of Burton-on-Trent. It's a lovely area to visit ... you could make it a day out ... although, the workshop itself couldn't really be said to be lovely:

The workshop serves it's purpose, though, and allows Steve to make good quality furniture that doesn't cost the earth. He makes the doors and accessories from solid timber, sometimes incorporating timber veneered MDF, but likes to make the carcasses from MFC (melamine faced chipboard), or from timber veneered chipboard. This helps to keep the cost down and is also very practical to keep clean.

Steve's speciality is kitchens with inset framed, solid wood doors. On the left, above, is a unit in American black walnut - waiting to go into the spray booth where it will be sprayed with a silk finish lacquer. Notice how attractive the grain pattern is. On the right is a pippy oak kitchen which includes doors with a very slight curve. You need a bespoke kitchen supplier to provide non-standard curved doors like that - and they're always going to cost a bit extra - but the effect could be worth it. Steve can work with most timbers but, perhaps his most popular kitchens, are the inset framed, painted ones (with doors made from tulipwood). These can be in plain shaker style (as for the kitchens shown above), or they can be very ornate - as the huge dresser shown below.
