This little cabinet was made for one of my clients (Kate) by Steve DeVille of DeVille Interiors. It's made from cherry veneered board with solid cherry trim. The rest of the kitchen is going to have lime green and creamy white Parapan doors ... can't wait to see pictures of the finished kitchen!

Funnily enough, Kate has decided to buy her kitchen from Steve. She hadn't decided, before she went to see him - but he made the cabinet just so that she could see what it would look like. The solid cherry is paler than the cherry veneer and he was worried about whether or not she'd like the contrast ... I guess she probably did.

The reason for choosing cherry is because Kate already has a dining table in cherry wood which will be in the kitchen. It's becoming a popular finish for dining furniture ... so perhaps we'll see more cherry wood kitchens in the future?
