Burbidge's New Petworth Kitchen

Burbidge have just launched a new in-frame, painted kitchen called Petworth. They show it, in this picture, with brushed steel knobs. That's what caught my eye. I like this combination of traditional cabinet styling with neat, modern steel knobs. The doors and frames are made of oak, so expect visible wood graining to be visible through the paint. If you want a completely smooth finish without any sign that it's wood underneath (but still with the ease of re-painting that wood gives), then look for painted tulipwood.

I don't know any pricing details (I don't expect it to be cheap!) but, for a standard kitchen range, Petworth is quite versatile. Burbidge do a choice of nine paint colours and they will even make special door sizes (with a three week lead time). Here's the choice of colours:

This range will compete directly with Second Nature's Milton in-frame range (supplied by PWS) ... but the extra colours available and the option for made-to-measure doors could just give Petworth the edge.
