Kitchens (and lots more) at Grand Designs Live

I spent most of my time in the Grand Kitchens area - naturally - but there's loads more stuff to see, including a seminar programme.
What Do You Think of IKEA Kitchens and Their New Adverts?
by Majjie | Sat, 17/04/2010 - 12:04Have you seen the IKEA Kitchen Squad adverts? I've caught one or two and I have mixed feelings about them. They're based on a spoof, reality makeover show, format ... with comedian Sanderson Jones playing documentary maker Leonard Sheppard ... but with real kitchens, a real owner (who doesn't know what's going to happen), and real IKEA workers doing the makeover.
Cursing IKEA!
by Majjie | Wed, 05/08/2009 - 19:05I'm cursing in a ladylike fashion, of course ... well, ok ... maybe I'm not.
I know I was singing the praises of IKEA last year for being cheap and cheerful ... with the emphasis on the cheap ... but with some nice styles too. And I love their made-to-measure worktops (or I did). The reason I'm cursing now, is because I made a special trip to my local store this morning, to fetch a kitchen brochure (they have a dedicated kitchen one) and a price list.
