These are the items that make the kitchen look good. Even in a minimalist kitchen you need a few well chosen items - like a single stem vase with a brightly coloured flower - to set off the look.
Choose the style and colour of you accessories carefully. They should be in the same style as the kitchen ... or in deliberate contrast. They should include the accent colours beloved of all interior designers. These won't be cushions and the like (unless you've got a big living kitchen) but they serve the same purpose.
Unless you want to create a very neutral look, don't keep plain drinking glasses in your glazed kitchen wall units ... choose something more colourful ... plates, jugs, vases and the like ... and add character to the room.
If your kitchen is in cool whites and blues, choose a few accessories in warm yellows/ochres ... or if you're really adventurous in bright oranges and reds.
In a more traditional kitchen the "To look Pretty" items may be in abundance. In this sort of kitchen a certain amount of pretty clutter is expected. Go for a colour explosion ... or keep mainly to neutrals with a few splashes of colour.
