AEG have introduced two new induction hobs which they call MaxiSense. They're smart, touch control models with bevelled edges - making them very inconspicuous when fitted into a dark worktop.

The Competence 78001 KF model has four sections and is slightly larger than a standard hob at 710mm wide.

The 98001 KF-S model is about 900mm wide but only 410mm deep from front to back, and has 3 sections.

So what's new about them? Well neither has defined rings to put your pans on. As long as the pan is in contact with the cross in the centre of the section, you can use any size of pan on any section.
