The KBB Show at the NEC is a trade show which only happens every two years. I always look forward to going - but this year it promises to be more exciting than usual. Two proposed trade shows last summer were both cancelled due to the recession (well - trying to organise two was ridiculous anyway) and manufacturers - keen to improve their competitiveness in the new economic climate - are apparently planning lots of new kitchen product launches at the KBB show in a couple of weeks.
I've heard, through the grapevine (well - via e-mail, actually), that Rangemaster are planning to launch a "new style of cooking to UK consumers" ... that sounds interesting. The Aga Rangemaster group as a whole is planning to launch more than twelve new appliances which will include their new designs for the Mercury range cooker (see my blog about the takeover of Mercury) - can't wait to see those - and also some makeovers for some of their existing appliances. The Rangemaster Professional, for instance, which used to be available only in stainless steel will now also be available in cranberry (below), black and cream.

Liebherr are launching a small (450mm high) built-in wine cooler; Silestone have produced the first integral quartz composite sink; furniture manufacturer Neptune (who have come on in leaps and bounds since the last show) have a couple of new ranges ... ooh ... I can't wait!
The KBB Show is at the NEC from the 21st to the 24th March. It's a trade show, though. For consumers, Aga Rangemaster are also exhibiting at the National Homebuilding and Renovating Show next week (also at the NEC 18th - 21st March) ... I think I'll go to that one too. And I promise to report back for those of you who can't go. Any requests for info?
